It’s often assumed that the market for personal media players (PMPs) is dominated by blokes. Over in South Korea, Digital Cube is aiming to change that with its new device. The M43 iStation sounds like a motorway cafe that lets you charge up your iPod, but is in fact a PMP aimed at 20-30 year-old women.
Humax release PVR-9200TB: Freeview Playback dual tuner PVR
Humax has once again upgraded its PVR-9200T Freeview PVR, this time renaming it as the PVR-9200TB.
It claims to be one of the first Freeview Playback digital TV recorders on the market, sporting a 160GB hard drive, and comes with a number of nifty features including schedule tracking and auto-buffering.
It has two tuners, enabling two shows to be recorded, or one to be recorded while another is being watched live. Recording and scheduling is handled via the eight-day Electronic Programme Guide.
Cowon unleashes L2 GPS-equipped personal media player
We were impressed by Cowon’s iAudio D2 media player earlier this year, which shoehorned audio, video and radio into one sleek device. But now the company has trumped that with its new L2 media player, which adds GPS and digital TV reception into the equation.
Philips launch six new portable DVD players with iPod integration
Philips has announced six new high-performance portable DVD players, two of which include an iPod dock which allows for the playback of video, audio and photos from an attached iPod.
First up are the widescreen DVD players, available in 7, 8.5, and 10.2 inch screen sizes. They all feature a full in-car mounting kit, internal power supply unit, two headphone jacks, USB connection, AV in and out, and digital audio output.

LG's MFFM37 "Touch Me" touch screen video MP3 player announced
LG has announced the launch of its first touch screen video MP3 player.
The MFFM37 “Touch Me” player features a 2.4 inch LCD touch screen with 320×240 resolution. It comes with up to 4GB of memory and can play back MP3, WMA, and OGG music, and MPEG4 and WMV9 movie files.
LG’s Mobile XD Engine improves picture quality by controlling screen brightness, colour and contrast.
