'Breast massaging robot' takes cyber-love to the next level
No doubt there’s some sort of serious scientific/medical use for this that’s of global importance. It will no doubt save millions of lives, somehow, in the near future.
But there’s also a good chance it’ll just end up letting you virtually grope women in Second Life.
Scientists teach monkey to control robots. Humanity doomed.
Time to pack up your clothes and head for the nearest bunker. Crazed scientists have taught a monkey how to control a robot on the other side of the world through brain-power alone, thus setting us on an inescapable path to a Simian/Robot alliance that will wipe humans off the face of the Earth. Probably.
Robots to take over the world! Or, perhaps, just help you solve The Times' crossword
Relax! Intelligent robots and computers aren’t going to take over the human race ((at least, I don’t think so), but they are likely to get a lot more advanced, and could well end up providing a built-in intelligence boost for us mere mortals.
According to Ray Kurzweil — one of 18 influential thinkers chosen by the US National Academy of Engineering to identify the great technological challenges facing humanity in the 21st century — by the year 2029, machines will have artificial intelligence as advanced as humans.

PANIC! Now they're making crowd-monitoring robots…
And you know that the only reason for robots to monitor crowds is so they can decide WHO NEEDS TO BE ELIMINATED FIRST IN ORDER TO SUBJUGATE HUMANITY. I know how these things work.
CES 2008: All your singing Mr Clock Radio robots are belong to us
Meet Mr Clock Radio. Made by Geewiz Entertainment, he claims to be the world's first "animated robotic alarm clock radio". And that just about describes all you need to know. He has 30 different ways of waking you up, some of which involve singing. Watch the video above for a taster.
CES 2008: Erector / Meccano unveil three new Spyke robots (well, Spykee)
Spyke was one of the hits of last year’s CES, being a spy robot capable of trundling around the house recording video and streaming it to you over Wi-Fi. Trouble is, he never actually went on sale – makers Erector and Meccano delayed him to get the technology just right. He’s due out in September or October this year now, and has acquired an extra ‘e’ (he’s now called Spykee).
CES 2008: Robo-fun with the Clapping Penguin, Attacking Duck, and Probing Robot
I'm afraid I have very little information about any of these robots, other than they were on the stand of Robotis at CES today, and they've got comical names. I mean, it's not as if an Attacking Duck or a Clapping Penguin is going to put fear into the hearts of mankind when the robo-revolution comes. Although the Probing Robot sounds like he could be quite worrying.
