Lambretta launches Quadrophenia bike
Just look at this absolutely gorgeous retro-chic Lambretta. Brought to you by Fisher Outdoor Leisure, the world’s first Lambretta Bicicletta (Li126) is modelled on the Lambretta driven by Jimmy in cult film Quadrophenia and will be launched to the public at the London Cycle Show 2009 at Earls Court, 8-11 October.
Every one of the 500 £599 limited edition models is individually numbered and comes with its own certificate of authenticity. Rather fittingly number 1 of this limited edition model is owned by the self-styled ‘modfather’ himself, Mr Paul Weller.
Comments Fisher Outdoor CEO Richard Allmark: “We are very excited to be launching the Li126 Lambretta Bicicletta. We are huge fans of Lambretta, and as such have been faithful in our efforts to create a bicycle with style and class, that is in keeping with the brand heritage.”
Though the brand is vintage, Lambretta claims the Li126 is a thoroughly modern bicycle incorporating the latest developments in bike technology and design to create a beautifully honed and high-performing ‘city cruiser’ bike. Further models in the Lambretta Bicicletta range will be announced in Spring 2010.

Although it has many unique features people are already using web based tools and sites to make and share documents. In a very basic way there is a great deal of collaboration already going on via Facebook, Twitter and even MySpace, while at the more corporate end of the spectrum are several excellent collaboration tools already such as the UK's very own Huddle. Then of course there are already millions of people across the globe using Microsoft's collaboration tools.

Brizzly review – it is like the Twitter home page on steroids
Even cooler IMO is the way Brizzly embeds content, so for example if someone has the URL of a YouTube video in their tweet the video pops up in the Brizzly stream.
Microsoft Courier video – how we might use the new breed of tablet PCs
It designed for content creation with the owner using a touch screen and pen to put together a kind of diary which can be re-created online. Interesting stuff.
Mini Digital TV from IWOOT for under £100
New from I Want One of Those is a Digital TV and Multimedia Player for under £100.
OK it’s only got a teeny, tiny 3.5inch screen but for use out and about this seems great – no idea what picture quality is like yet. Thanks to a digital tuner you can watch all the Freeview channels, though you will need to hook the device to your TV aerial first to download all the available channels.
Using the SD card the gadget also doubles as a video or digital audio (MP3 player)
