LG pull flagship 3D TV launch
3D TV was a huge part of LG's CES line-up this year. But though the Korean tech company promised an April launch in the UK for its flagship LG LD360 LED TV range, that has now apparently been cancelled. A…
Will we get the BlackBerry Bold 9000 on June 25th? The Canadian carrier Rogers is…
The smartphone you’ve all been waiting for – and by ‘you’, I mean ‘me’ – has been given a launch date of June 25th on the Canadian network Rogers.
Originally it was thought the BlackBerry Bold 9000 would be dropping in late July or even early August, however it’s possible that if Rogers is launching the handset on the 25th, it might encourage other carriers to hurry up as well. In the US AT&T has been chosen as the exclusive network…
Apple iPhone 3G Vs. BlackBerry Bold 9000: the ultimate specs comparison
Apple’s launch of the iPhone 3G yesterday heralded a new change in direction for the company, towards a more business-friendly approach. BlackBerry is predominantly the business user’s handset manufacturer of choice, with their first 3G model, the Bold 9000, squaring up nicely to the iPhone. Comparison of RIM's BlackBerry Pearl 8110, Curve 8310 and Bold 9000 smartphones
The BlackBerry 9000 was officially announced by Research In Motion this morning, and within minutes I was on the phone to my mobile contract provider, arranging the return of the Pearl 8110 I’d just ordered. Even though the 9000 won’t be out until Summer, it’s still worth waiting for, in my opinion.
Or is it? Do you prefer the 45g-bar-of-chocolate-size of the Pearl 8110, or the BlackBerry Maps featured in the Curve 8310? Let’s take a look below the jump at the key features of the three feathers RIM has in its cap…
CrackBerry.com gets hands-on with the unreleased BlackBerry 9000
After watching this video, I’ve decided I’m definitely trading in my Pearl 8110 for the upcoming 9000. Not yet released, CrackBerry.com acquired one of those handsets that mysteriously found their way on eBay at the end of April, and boy, is it impressive.
Watch the video above for size comparisons between the 9000 and previous BlackBerry models, and for a run-through of the new OS. Here’s…

RIM gets scared by oncoming 3G iPhone, potentially delays 3G BlackBerry 8900
BlackBerry…delaying the launch of their 3G 8900 handset…because of the imminent arrival of the 3G HSDPA iPhone? Sounds strange, but that’s what the ‘sources’ have told Fortune magazine.
Of course, the official reason behind the possible delay is due to ‘call quality concerns’, but it does seem fairly obvious that pushing the launch back from June to August will help RIM determine how much of a threat the 3G iPhone will be, and also avoid having the same launch date as the Apple handset. After all, no-one likes discovering at a party they’re wearing the same outfit as their worst enemy….

The news has been doing the rounds for a while, so it’s reassuring to see Engadget Mobile has secured actual photos of the new BlackBerry 9000, the first to feature HSDPA and Wi-Fi.
Seen above on the far right, its sleek lines and curves coupled with the silver edging secures the BlackBerry’s status for at least another 12 month contract length. Engadget raved about their hands-on moment…
