Virus alert! Asus Eee Box ships in Japan with malware
Asus, suddenly faced with an extremely popular product, has been slapping the Eee badge on everything it possibly can. Earlier this year, it announced the Eee Box, a small, low-cost desktop PC. The company has just admitted, however, that the version of the product shipping in Japan contains a virus…
Sky offer 50% off HD box for new and existing customers
If you’ve got a massive 42″ plasma, but you’re still watching standard definition TV and DVD on it, then I’m sure you know you’re not getting the most out of your technology. What you need is some kind of HD provider, but so far they’ve been rather prohibitively expensive. That’s why I wanted to point out to you that Sky are extending their 50% off HD box offer. They haven’t been shouting about enough – it’s a good deal…
It's not a secret anymore, with ASUS confirming the Eee Box PC
After months of teasing us with ‘leaked’ photos, ASUS has finally – finally! – confirmed the existence of the Eee Box, although details surrounding the price are still hazy. Rats.
Not exactly the most powerful PC on the block, the Eee Box is definitely the desktop version of their popular Eee PC netbooks. An Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz chip, plus 1GB of DDR2 RAM and an 80GB HDD are all crammed in the slim casing, as well as a Gigabit Ethernet connection and 802.11n Wi-Fi. Before you ask…
Australian resellers claim they received suspicious boxes from Apple – 3G iPhones?
Australia hasn’t even had the luxury of selling a legal iPhone yet, but already there are rumours they’ve just received the 3G model, due to some resellers showing photos of mysterious Apple boxes they aren’t allowed to touch until after the WWDC expo next week.
The date in which they can open them is June 10th, next Tuesday – just a day after Steve Jobs is expected to announce the phone. Now, I’m sure some sneaky store-workers have already prised the lids off a box already, so all we can do is sit back and wait for the rumours to swell over the weekend. Or, for dozens of reported injuries by Australian sneaks who got burnt with Apple’s idea of a practical joke….
Relive 2003 with the SimCity Box, containing five games
If it weren’t for the assorted Sims games, my formative years would’ve been very lonely indeed. That’s why I’m so excited at the news that EA has announced the SimCity Box.
Containing five games from the SimCity range, there’s SimCity Societies, SimCity Societies Destinations, SimCity 4, SimCity 4 Rush House and The Sims Carnival SnapCity, which I must admit I’ve never actually heard of. A steal at $39.99, you’re saving $60 by buying them bundled together, and perhaps it’ll help tide you over until Sims 3 is released next…

NOT CES 2008: Exclusive video of what WON'T be in Las Vegas this year
Hey everyone. What with all the talk of this “CES” thing that’s going on at the moment, I thought I’d give you an EXCLUSIVE look at a few of the products that won’t be on the show floor this year.
I’ll be revealing a two-year-old TV with NO HDMI sockets on it whatsoever, a six-year-old games console and a literally ancient digital cable box that’s definitely NOT rocking the crowds at the Vegas Convention Centre right now.
You won’t see these anywhere else! (apart from maybe at a dump or really poor friend’s house).
