First seen at CES, the EX-S10 camera from Casio's Exilim Card series is now available
Bit of a fluffy story which is perhaps better suited to our pink sister-blog Shiny Shiny, but it wouldn’t be like us to ignore a camera launch! Particularly when it’s a new model from Casio’s Exilim Card series.
We saw the EX-S10 back at CES, where I took about a dozen hands-on photos of the super-slim camera which Casio is touting as a ‘catwalk accessory’. With a 10.1-megapixel sensor, they have a 3x optical zoom and 2.7″ LCD screen…
Casio launches motorsports-inspired high performance watch
Casio has announced its latest high performance watch, the WVQ-570E-1AVER (no prizes for memorable product naming), inspired by motorsports and in support of the Casio sponsored British Touring Car Championship SEAT team.
It boasts range of advanced functions including automatic adjustment of time for daylight saving and European time zones, based upon Wave Ceptor radio-controlled technology…
Casio offers a splash of colour with the Exilim Zoom EX-9
If your specification isn’t going to catch the eye, you might as well make the case stand out – as Casio has done with its newly-launched Exilim Zoom EX-9.
Shiny Video Review: Tech Digest throws waterproof gadgets into the Thames, but do they survive?
I’m down at the Thames River in London, soaking up the non-existent sun, and have just tested a bunch of electronics which claim to be ‘waterproof’. This was an extremely nerve-wracking video to film, namely because it was my personal mobile phone and PSP within those OverBoard cases, along with a recently-announced 850 SW camera from Olympus,…
CES 2008: Casio Exilim EX-Z80, EX-Z200, EX-Z100 and world's thinnest 10.1-megapixel camera, EX-S10
Casio Exilim digital cameras are definitely a Marmite product, with the division between lovers and haters almost as big as the HD format war. There’s three new additions to the Zoom range, with the EX-Z80 (pictured) featuring a 3x optical alongside 8.1-megapixels, then the EX-Z200 and EX-Z100 both containing 10.1-megapixels, wide-angle 28mm lens…
Casio unveils Privia PX-720 and PX-120 digital pianos
A piano isn’t a proper piano unless it’s battered, has a few keys missing, and floods the room with dust when you hammer out Chopsticks. At least, that’s my view. Casio would presumably disagree, since it’s in the business of selling shiny new digital pianos like the PX-720 and PX-120, which have just been announced.
Korea/Japan Week: More cool stuff from the KDDI Design Studio store
I’ve already posted a few things from KDDI’s showcase Design Studio in Tokyo today, but there was plenty more mobile stuff to gawp at. Here’s a few of the highlights, starting with…
Casio Exilim W53CA mobile (above). It has a five-megapixel camera and is clearly rocking the same convergence thang as Sony Ericsson’s Cyber-shot handsets. I wonder if Casio will ever bring this range West.
Forget the British Museum, the only museum worth checking out is the Nerd Watch Museum
Meet my new obsession, which has been bubbling under the surface for a good few years, since 1992 when I got my first Casio calculator watch so I could cheat in maths exams at school. Upon discovering the new Nerd Watch Museum, I’m like a kettle blowing out all its built-up steam, and can’t get old digital Casios and Seikos from my mind…
Top 5 Techno-watches
When it comes to techno-watches, any self-respecting child of the 80s will tell you they don’t come much better than the one worn round Michael Knight’s wrist in Knightrider. As a small boy I could often be seen whispering…
