CES 2008: Blue Action's BAC100M Bluetooth watch – better than Sony Ericsson's appparently
Must admit don’t know much about Blue Action, but I do like the look of its Bluetooth watch. Due out in the US later this month (and hopefully in the UK later in the summer) the BAC-100M is according…
CES 2008: Robo-fun with the Clapping Penguin, Attacking Duck, and Probing Robot
I'm afraid I have very little information about any of these robots, other than they were on the stand of Robotis at CES today, and they've got comical names. I mean, it's not as if an Attacking Duck or a Clapping Penguin is going to put fear into the hearts of mankind when the robo-revolution comes. Although the Probing Robot sounds like he could be quite worrying.
CES 2008: The cheapest high def camcorder on sale? Mustek's DVS20HD. Also a sneak peek of Mutek's Blu-ray player
Want a high def camcorder but don’t want to pay loads of money for it? Well Mustek may have just heard your prayers. It is launching the DVS20, a high def flash memory based camcorder which goes out in the US for $200. This means we’ll probably see it for a few quid more than £100.
CES 2008: Guitar Hero Air Guitar Rocker strums up a storm
This is the best gadget bar none at CES 2008. I'm telling you, it is. The Guitar Hero Air Guitar Rocker is a gadget from Jada Toys, it's out in March for $29.99 (with UK distribution following), and it lets you crank out fat air guitar riffs from Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Motorhead, Van Halen and Boston.
CES 2008: Get your hands on The Shaft Wii joystick
Look, I make no bones about being a juvenile man when it comes to things named after willies. Heh, I said bones. Etc etc. But yes, The Shaft is what this Wii arcade joystick is called. It’s designed to play virtual console games, and is bigger than the official Nintendo model, which its makers reckon makes it better for old-skool beat’em ups.
CES 2008: Razer Mako is a high-end desktop audio system
I bought my desktop speakers for about a fiver in Wilkinsons. No wonder everything in my iTunes library sounds tinny… A far better bet would be Razer’s new Mako 2.1 desktop speaker system, which goes on sale this month.
CES 2008: JBL unveils iPhone-friendly On Stage IIIP speaker dock
More iPhone accessory news comes in the form of JBL’s new On Stage IIIP System, which was announced today at CES. It’s a speaker dock that’s basically the same as previous On Stage models, with one big difference: it works with iPhones.
CES 2008: Belkin launches TuneBase FM iPhone / iPod car accessory
It might not be MacWorld until next week, but something tells me CES is going to be stuffed with freshly-minted iPhone accessories nonetheless. Belkin has just announced the TuneBase FM, for example, which is an FM transmitter for use in-car, for the iPhone and iPods.
CES 2008: Yahoo Go 3.0 gets widgety for mobile with eBay, MySpace…
We’ve written about Yahoo’s Go for Mobile application numerous times since it first launched, but today sees an all-new version unveiled at CES. Go 3.0, as it’s called, is in “early beta”, so it’s basically a chance to see how it’ll evolve in the coming months, although US mobile users can download it now.
