Decidely less expensive than the DMC-TZ5 we wrote about yesterday are the LZ-8 snd LZ-10 models from Panasonic’s Lumix range, which have, whaddya know, 10-megapixels and 8-megapixels respectively.

Some Panasonic Lumix goodness today, predominantly with the DMC-TZ5, which has – count ’em – 9.1-megapixels, a 10x optical zoom lens, and 720p (that’s HD, folks, but not the best resolution you can get, admittedly) video recording.
You’re probably thinking this will cost a bomb and a half, but actually? It’ll only be $349.95 in the US, so with any luck it’ll convert neatly to £175. Yes, in our dreams, that is.

That chunky kid in the corner there is Nikon’s Coolpix P60, just announced to the whole of the internets. With 8.1-megapixels and a 5x Zoom-Nikkor lens, it’s not too shabby for its £199.99 price-tag.
Actually, scratch that. It’s going to be sold in the US for $230, so us UK-ers are paying £85 more than we should be. That makes me sad.
