HTC's lineup for 2009 leaks
HTC seems to be the anti-Apple. Its products tend to leak out months and months before their release, in direct contrast to Apple’s legendary product secrecy. Yesterday, HTC’s entire 2009 lineup made its way onto the internet somehow, which means we now know exactly what the handset manufacturer will be releasing this year.
Perusing the full list, there’s a few exciting models – most notably the Rhodium (pictured above) and Tungsten, which appear to be the HTC Touch HD Pro. We might see an announcement at Mobile World Congress later this month about that. Let’s hope so.

Apple exec unintentially leaks new OS X 'Snow Leopard' release date
Apple hasn’t made a public statement to this effect yet, but it appears that the new version of OS X 10.6 – a.k.a. Snow Leopard – will be arriving early next year. During a presentation recently, Apple’s director of UNIX technologies, John Hubbard, revealed a slide with a list of OS X release dates, including 10.6 in “Q1 2009”.
Last June, Apple said that Snow Leopard would be arriving in ‘about a year’, so the timing makes sense. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get an announcement at Macworld in January about exactly when the new OS will arrive. In the meantime, unless you want to shell out for the new OS in 3 months time, don’t get a new Mac.

Teenager arrested for posting French translation of new Harry Potter book online
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows isn’t even out yet in its French language edition, and already some pesky teenager has posted the translation on the internet. Reuters suggests it’s actually their OWN translation too. If so, that’s got to be an A for English homework, surely.
