Top five health-related gadgets for Lindsay Lohan now she's out of rehab. Sadly Madonna doesn't fit in a Chanel handbag…
Dear Lindsay,
If the word on the street is correct, you left rehab on the weekend after two months of detoxing and avoiding your court order of one day in jail taking care of your mind, body and soul. Now, we’ve seen how easy it is to fall off the wagon once you leave rehab (Britney Spears, Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse can surely attest to that), so it’s more important than ever to ensure you look after yourself, Lilo. That means no hard partying with Paris and Nicole, no more dangerous older men (unless you can snag Johnny Depp and pimp him to me occasionally), and please god, no more firecrotch flashes. I don’t think my stomach can cope with that anymore!
Surely you know how to use a mouse, so just click on the button below, saying ‘Continue reading’, otherwise get your assistant to do it for you, and read my top five gadgets for keeping healthy now you’re out of rehab. It’s for your own good Lindsay, and ours too – we’ve been rather enjoying reading about Britney’s downfall in the Metro newspaper every morning, and sadly there’s just not enough space for you anymore. Stop sobbing, and take a look below….
Panasonic launches EP30005 massage chair
We've not looked at massage chairs much here at Tech DIgest — well, apart from this inflatable one — but this model from Panasonic looks the business. The EP30005 is supposed to deliver the deepest massage available, with an intensity…
Panasonic eyes up new walkthrough iris-recognition gate
One of the best technology launches I’ve ever attended was for some new iris-recognition based ID systems for airports. Why? It’s the only press conference where serious security journalists were asking questions like ‘Could it detect severed eyeballs?’ and ‘Can it tell a live person’s eyes from a dead person’s?’. I wanted their jobs.
Built to last? Panasonic high definition plasma TVs will last at least 42 years
Panasonic has published a lifespan statistic for its “full” high definition (1080p) plasma TVs: on average they’ll last at least 42 years before the brightness of the display degrades to less than 50%.
That’s based on an average 6.5 hours viewing every single day – or 100,000 hours in total.
Even its 720p high definition plasma TVs will last for 60,000 hours (around 25 years).
It’s an interesting statistic to highlight, in a fast-paced, needed-to-be-replaced-last-week technology culture, and though I don’t know the exact statistic for people replacing their TVs is, I bet it’s closer to 5-10 years than 42.
Panasonic's Sleep Assist System
This is the last thing modern society needs. We already have no problems whatsoever getting to sleep. Most of our problems in fact come from wanting to stay asleep, rather than doing productive work for the benefit of society.
Panasonic's new wheeze: a community for webcam pets
It’s a fact of Web 2.0 life that people are fascinated by their own pets, and don’t realise why everybody else isn’t. Witness all those cat videos clogging up YouTube, which are doubtless endlessly entertaining if you’re Tiddles’ owner, but are really very dull for the rest of us.
