Powergorilla and Solargorilla juice up your laptop on the move
Powergorilla is a brilliantly named product from Powertraveller. It’s basically a big ol’ battery, which you plug your laptop into, and it’ll charge your laptop’s onboard battery for you. A fully charged Powergorilla will give you two to six extra hours of laptop battery…

Nintendo to release new DS bundles for Christmas
Nintendo doesn’t often do too much with the DS. Since the Lite was released there hasn’t been anything new except for the odd new colour here and there, so it’s nice to hear that the big N hasn’t forgotten its little console with a zillion rubbish games…
Slacker G2 – properly personal radio on the move
Okay, close your eyes and relax your mind. Think about nothing – just a grey backdrop. Now allow an MP3 player of your choice to float in. iPod, Zune, whatever. Doesn’t matter. Now, from the other direction, float in Last.fm, or Pandora, or any other personalised radio service. Freecom has announced its thin and light DVD writer, aimed squarely at notebook users who demand compact units to go with their snazzy portable PCs.
Measuring just 1.7cms thick with an almost square 14.4 x 14cms footprint, and weighing 600g, it could “slide right into your pocket” – as the company claims – but it might be better in a padded pocket in your laptop bag…
Man "portablizes" Super Nintendo

The cheap case gives it a pleasingly utilitarian early-1990s design appearance, with simplistic buttons that you could easily believe Nintendo would’ve chucked into a handheld SNES – had it bothered to make one back in the day. And look at that chunky power button. Imagine the satisfying click it makes.
The poor guy started the portable SNES project last Christmas and eventually finished it last week. Here’s how it turned out.
The chap used an off-the-shelf plastic case to whack most of the SNES bits in…
