Sony’s recently-closed Connect music downloads store is unlamented, to say the least. Yet the timing seemed a bit strange, given that everyone from Nokia and Amazon through to Wal-Mart is getting into the music downloads market. Now they’ve been joined by… Sony?

Konami has reportedly kicked off the beta test of its Metal Gear Solid Online by sending invites out to 3,000 gaming magazines and websites. It’s unclear whether this is in Europe alone, or across the world, as previous reports have claimed there’d be 3,000 beta places in Japan only.

I’m so tone deaf, children have been known to run for the nearest high bridge when I give my karaoke rendition of ‘Crazy In Love’. Tombstoning? It’s all my fault. But that hasn’t stopped me getting excited about the PS3 version of Sony’s SingStar karaoke game.
Guitar Hero III to get wireless controllers for PS3, Wii and Xbox 360
Isn’t Guitar Hero the only console game where you’d actually want a cabled controller? Busting hot riffs while popping scissor kicks in your spray-on leather kecks ain’t the same if you’re not constantly fighting not to trip over a flailing wire, after all. But still, it seems that the upcoming Guitar Hero III will come with wireless guitars on all three formats: PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.
