New brushed metal Apple iMacs being rolled out?

metalimac.jpg
It’s obvious to anyone with a set of eyes that Apple are progressing to the more elegant, refined brushed metal aesthetics for their products, instead of churning out the almost-luminescent white items which have been copied by everyone and their pet dogs named Bilbo.

Possibly ending the life of all celebrity blogs as we know them (oh noes!), the London based design firm Troika and designer Kok-Chian Leong have dreamed up Blur, an anti-photography spray, which was exhibited at the Science Museum’s exhibit, “The Science of Spying”. The highly reflective nanoparticles in the Blur spray reflect flashbulbs, blind camera sensors and whiten part of the image. This means of course that most celebrities will have to keep themselves coated from head to toe with the stuff 24 hours a day, and will appear to the naked eye even more shimmering and freaky than they already do. But that’s the price of fame, right? [GT]

intempo_dock-ids03.jpgThe Intempo IDS series, far from being designed for former Tory leaders, is a succession of faintly monolithic audio player docks, packing decent stereo features in an elegant, but large, case.

Despite being a lot smaller than the IDS01, the IDS03 is definitely not a portable device – it plugs into the wall and is clearly designed to sit neatly on a desk, dressing table or living room shelf – but what did I think of the sound quality and ease of use? Read on and watch this space for a video review coming soon.
