YouTube goes full HD at last?
Looks like YouTube has finally switched on full HD – at least for videos uploaded in high-definition. Going to the site now, and tracking down a video recorded in high-definition, like this one, for example, will give you a “Watch in HD” in the bottom-right corner of the video display.
The results are spectacular. Compare Hilary Duff in normal YouTube video quality, with HD, here. It’s jaw-droppingly impressive, especially when viewed fullscreen. As soon as we can, we’ll start uploading our review vids in HD, so you can get a better look at the gadgets we get sent.

SHINY VIDEO REVIEW: Noise-proof headphones test
Annoyed with your current headphones? Bothered by people yapping and eating Rice Crispies on the bus in the morning, and need to replace the crappy pair of earbuds that came bundled with your MP3 player? You need to see this video.
Lucy, Zara and I tested out some of the noise cancelling and noise isolating earphones on the market. Dan made some noise. You can see the results above – the Shure SE102s won out, thanks to their low price and extreme effectiveness. Highly recommended.

VIDEO: Green Gloat / Green Guilt with Duncan Geere (that's me).
Abi over at our sister site Hippyshopper has been running a feature lately where she interviews the inhabitants of Shiny Towers on their ‘green’ness. How planet-friendly they are. Yesterday, it was my turn.
I like to think that I’m quite a good boy, ecologically speaking. I re-use shopping bags, and take public transport everywhere. There’s a big bad monster, however, lurking in my carbon footprint. Watch the video above to find out what it is.
If you’re into sustainability, and living in harmony with our environment, then go read Hippyshopper. Abi will sort you right out – she’s greener than an RGB display minus a blue screen of death and a red ring of death.

SHOCK: Seagate releases rap video and it's actually pretty awesome
When technology and rap meet, the results are usually catastrophically awful, but this… this is damn catchy. Seagate has sponsored a track – “Computer Friends” [Stack the Memory], made by the Sniper Twins, who are a pair of New York rappers that make awesome 8-bit influenced tracks. “Check out Salad Wrap”, on their MySpace, too. All together now… “it’s been a while, baby, on a thirty day trial, lady…”

ATTENTION AMERICANS: Monty Python launches official YouTube Channel
Monty Python’s Flying Circus, the only television programme the United Kingdon has ever produced, is now yours to freely watch and link to from your blogs via an official YouTube Channel – with the remaining Pythons saying “we want you to click on the links, buy our movies & TV shows and soften our pain and disgust at being ripped off all these years.”
24 clips are currently up there for endless playback, including stuff from the movies, live performances and modern interviews with the depressingly old-looking stars. Here’s one from the Life of Brian, seeing as we’re allowed to now and it’s Friday.
There’s something in it for them – each clip comes complete with an embedded Amazon link…
SHINY VIDEO REVIEW: BlackBerry Storm Part One
Here’s Susi’s initial thoughts on the Blackberry Storm. On the model we got sent, there’s a bug with the browser, so we can’t give it a proper proper review until that’s fixed, but in the interests of keeping you lot as informed as possible, Susi filmed some thoughts on the build of the handset, and her initial impressions.
Want one? More than an iPhone? Really? Personally, I’m not convinced just yet. Let us know your thoughts on the Storm in the comments.
