Freecom launches Wireless Network MediaPlayer with 500GB of storage
Freecom has launched the Network MediaPlayer 350 WLAN featuring up to 500GB of storage, and aimed at the consumer with a lot of digital content to share between various devices on a wireless home network.
Featuring a 3.5-inch hard drive, the MediaPlayer is PC and Mac compatible, and can be connected directly to a TV using a HD-DVI or video connection, and to a hi-fi using its standard audio outputs.
Is Dell planning to make a Wi-Fi personal media player?
Dell has announced plans to acquire Zing, the technology company that makes the platform for SanDisk’s Sansa Connect wireless music player. The obvious conclusion is that Dell is planning its own Wi-Fi PMP.

The killer app of Microsoft Zune was supposed to be its built-in Wi-Fi capabilities, which would let you merrily share music with other Zune owners, without fear of a big fat lawsuit from the music industry. And since iPod couldn’t do it, the feature seemed set to give Zune a real chance at toppling Apple’s market-dominating MP3 player.
Meccano's Spyke spy robot available to pre-order
